The Aldar of mythology were created to serve the Elder Gods, much like the Celani of today.

They spent their time exploring the multiverse, building and studying the arts of magic.

They have played a pivotal role in shaping our world, and history as we know it. They are most well-known for their roles in the War of Humanity.

Aldar of Mythology

There are several Aldar of note that can be read about in the ancient times.

Caymus, Dekalb, Han-Silnar, Han-Tolneth, Maya, Mantru and Yen-Sorte were just a few of the documented Aldar of mythology.

Caymus
The greatest prophet in history, he saw and stated the Twin Prophecies - Proteus would be overthrown as leader of the Gods and another would fill his place; and that Maya would bear twins, and that these children would not be Aldar but would have the potential to someday rival them in power.

Dekalb
This Aldar discovered Maya after she was raped by the Unnamable Horror. He would be a leader of one faction of Aldar and was known for his loyalty and humble manner before the Gods. He and his Aldar fought on the side of the Gods in the war. He was eventually slain by the battlemaster, Yen-Sorte. He would go down in history as the first Aldar ever murdered, during a time we now know as the Great Betrayal.

Han-Silnar
The brother of Han-Tolneth and protege of Khalas. Han-Silnar was very xenophobic in his attitude. He called the Great Council to try and convince Han-Tolneth and Dekalb to fight with the Triumvirate. After the war, the Tribunal sentenced Han-Silnar to serve Lorielan in the Crystal Realm.

Han-Tolneth
While xenophobic like his brother, Han-Silnar, he had great respect for the Gods in general and Proteus in particular. So he resolved to support and respect Proteus' decision (to give Ceylon to the humans). He arrived at the end of the war with the greater dragons and has been called the Dragonmaster ever since. Han-Tolneth was the first celani, and can now be found on the dragon plane of the Parthren Gare.

Mantru
Mantru was the chief architect among the Aldar. He is credited with designing Ceylon, the Golden Land of Dawn and racial homeland of the humans.

Maya
The most famous of Aldar, who we all know is now the Creatrix and Supreme Being of Achaea. In ancient times, She was raped by the Unnamable Horror. The offspring of this travesty would be the first humans. After the close of the Chaos Wars, She was elevated to godhood by Sarapis, to watch over Her children. Later still, she was merged with Makali, Goddess of Destruction, to lead the Garden in Sarapis's stead.

Yen-Sorte
Han-Silnar's battlemaster and a legendary Aldar. He turned on Dekalb and his faction after being ordered by the manipulated Han-Silnar. He was slain in battle by the God of Combat, Matsuhama.

Other Aldar

Meran'tir
Meran'tir was an Aldar around the time of the Chaos Wars. He devoted himself to knowledge and wisdom, and, along with his two sons, built the Library of the Ancients as the first of the Lorewardens. He perished in a fierce battle with Prince Slith. In modern times, the Library of the Ancients has become the dungeon of Azdun.

Candlemas
Candlemas was the last of the Lorewardens. He wrote the books within the Library of the Ancients detailing its history. Though he, too, was slain, he lingers in Azdun as an ethereal ghost.
