Battlemaster to his fellow Aldar Han-Silnar, Yen-Sorte was renowned among his kind for his unparalleled skill in combat. On his leader's orders, he slew Dekalb in a swift and merciless battle lasting little more than half a minute. This infamous act of murder was a first among the Aldar and became known as the Great Betrayal. Yen-Sorte was slain in battle by Matsuhama later in the War of Humanity.
Yen-Sorte's name is used in that of a modern city improvement, the Scimitar of Yen-Sorte, the drop of Yen-Sorte's blood artefact, and a battle figurine with his likeness.
