Keresis, Goddess of Vengeance was often seen as the avatar of plotting and revenge. Her realm embodied both passionate rage and the cold-hearted retribution. Her presence could have been that of a raging inferno, or a cold, inconspicuous plot; Her idea of a perfect act of revenge was the systematic destruction of the mind, body, and soul.

History

She was once a Dreadlord of the Elder God Shaitan and fought at His side in the Chaos Wars, but through various means gained the power to rise as a God in Her own right. Centuries after Her ascension, She was called to return the favour She owed Shaitan. She performed the Sundering, splitting the God Sartan into Shaitan and Apollyon. For years She embraced their cause of Evil, bringing Vengeance alongside Suffering and Oppression.

In the year 617 AF, Bal'met betrayed Sartan and Keresis, sending his Dala'myrr and ormyrr to assault Mhaldor which they once helped guard. Unbeknownst to the rogue God, Sartan had a plan already in store. Drawing upon ancient infernal magics, he opened a portal to the plane of Nishnatoba, forcing Bal'met through it with Keresis' help on the other side. Struggling to hold open the portal, he bid Keresis to escape back through, but with Dala'myrr halting her path at every attempt she failed to return before it sealed. Moments later her screams echoed through Achaea as her life was cut short by the enraged Worldreaver.

Divine Symbols

Her Divine symbol was of a sword pointing down with a large python twisting around the blade. Perched upon the pommel of the blade was a large crow with its wings outspread.

Her weapons of choice were the Lash of Discipline and the Blade of Retribution.
