While changes to their government are tracked and recorded by Political Administrator Chanakya, Houses are otherwise completely run by adventurers with the assistance of a Divine Patron. Houses have the opportunity to become involved in city politics and the option to construct a great House Icon of immense power. House estates are physical structures for use by House members. Before the introduction of Houses, such organisations were called Guilds.
