Once a demon general in the Inferno Legions during the Chaos Wars, the Demon Queen Indrani was sealed within the inferno using the very Kris Dagger that she wielded to control the demonic forces. She was later released through the machinations of Sartan, and gained divinity through feeding off the essence of the child Pandemonium, son of Aegis and Eris.
Followers of the Goddess of Sin ascribe to the belief that "The only true sin is that of self-deception", using this as the key to understanding her realm. They believe that through mastery of the "Seven Sins" - Lust, Envy, Gluttony, Pride, Wrath, Avarice, and Dominion - inherent in every sentient being, true power can be realized.
