The Sarapin Sacrifice is a sacred ritual performed by high ranking members of the city of Mhaldor in the month of Sarapin.
During the ritual, citizens offer their lives up to placate the Lords Apollyon and Shaitan, and are beheaded in the Chamber of Sacrifice within Sartan's public temple.
At the end of the ritual, the ritual head can be heard throughout Sapience, proclaiming the words of the Lords. At this time, the city patron for that year is decided by the twin Gods of Evil. It is always one of the two of them.
