The Ashura was originally founded by Tranquility in 267 AF as Ashtan's own Monk guild. They promote the idea of "Unity through Respect, Competence through Diligence", and seek absolute perfection through the unity of mind, body, and spirit.
Founding
The events leading up to the founding of the Ashura are shrouded in mystery, as not much was written down. As most warriors tend to think of the present rather than their own posterity, no information can be found of the opening ceremonies or initial city honours. Beyond generalities and an announcement by Tranquility, nothing specific was stated publicly of the rise into Guildhood at all.
Modern History
Their icon is known as the Dragon's Eye. It was destroyed by Mhaldor in the year 440 AF and rebuilt in the year 463 AF.

1 | Tranquility | 4 Lupar 267 - 278 | Founder of the Ashura, along with Skarash, Kindral and Aedessi. |
2 | Enoc | 279 - 293 | Took over when Tranquility stepped down. Established a guild shop and led the guild through a war between Ashtan and Shallam. |
3 | Sunrise | 293 - 312 | He and Xandu contested when Enoc began to become dormant. Eventually, Sunrise resigned to join Aegis in the rift to fight Slith. It became clear on his return in 327AF that the experience had left him crazy. He was outguilded by Shusen after he disobeyed and attacked senior guild members, Demeter, and stole 800k gold from the Aegean Order. |
4 | Shusen | 312 - 328 | During his term, conflicts between the guild and some members of the Divinity led to the guild hall being set on fire by Pandora and war against Sartan from 23 Aeguary 323 to 6 Sarapin 324AF. Naming Ryukishi as his successor when he stepped down, Shusen nevertheless remained active in the guild for many years afterwards. |
5 | Ryukishi | 328 - 350 | |
6 | Galrog | 350 - 361 | Proposing a change in Patron from Demeter to Thoth resulted in a guild fractured by opinion; eventually, this was resolved, and with agreement from Demeter and the majority of guild members, Matsuhama became the Patron. Galrog was replaced by Revelation when Galrog was unable to devote the time required for his position. |
7 | Revelation | 361 - 375 | After having achieved his goal of rebuilding the Ashura to what it once was, he named Rennyn as his successor and stepped down. |
8 | Rennyn | 375 - 411 | He led the Ashura through autoclass and the guild-house transition, supervised acquisition of the Dragon's Eye, and reinstated Aegis as Patron. |
