Lodi
The valley of Lodi was unveiled to Achaea in Mayan, 223AF, by Sarapis, the Logos. Lodi is an area exclusive to newbies trying to get to know the lands in (relative) safety.
Poraeus the dragon, observer of the gateway, watches over all newbies with compassionate eyes. Do not try to enter Lodi if you are above level 21, or you will be quickly ejected by a bronze dragon friend of Poraeus.
Lodi is home to many friends and foes for a new adventurer to meet, greet and if desired, slay. There are many small quests that can be done around Lodi for those wishing for a mental challenge.
Geography
The valley of Lodi can be located in the southeastern part of the continent of Sapience, just north of Shallam, Jewel of the East.
Lodi itself is actually comprised of two areas - the valley itself to the north and the gnome village of Gorshire in the south.
A indoor lair can be found at the far northwestern part of the valley, filled with wildcats and their unfortunate sheep meals (worse things have happened to the sheep in the past). A deep coal mine can be found to the northeast.
Inhabitants
There are many nameless faces in the Lodi crowd such as the gnome men, women, children, deputies, guards, iguanas, sheep, and wildcats, but there are many in Lodi who have made a name for themselves.
