Norfan Bladeshaper was a temporary mortal host of Phaestus, the Smith. For 100 years the Dwarf travelled far and wide about the lands of Sapience, the divine essence of the Lord of the Forge safely secured in a statue in Inbhir Ness.
Linked to the statue was a magical broadsword - found by Wardens of the Cerulean Spire - and whose sundering in 479 AF likewise cracked the Nessian statue. Norfan was passing through and, listening to the pleas of Cyrenians, agreed to give the sword's reforging a go. Phaestean hammer in hand, he began the laborious work with locals looking on. As he began hammering, the northern statue exploded, the golden radiance of the Smith flying southwards to coalesce about Norfan's fading form. Phaestus Himself soon materialised from the Dwarf's frame before the onlookers' eyes, gripping hammer and reforged blade with raised brows and a cheerful smile.
