Three Moons was the sword wielded by famed historical fighter Lucaine Pyramides, practitioner of the mysterious and deadly Two Arts style of sword combat. It was given to him in the distant, overseas nation of Kashar upon his promotion to the position of house guard (a slave position, as Pyramides was born into slavery) and aided him in his escape and voyage to Sapience.
His weapon in many battles, including those he fought in the Wars of Succession on the side of Catarin deSangre, the sword was taken from him and broken in two by his killer, the assassin Trenton Deis. Later recovered by Catarin, the broken Three Moons blade was held as a sceptre - along with the Staff of Nicator - during her campaign to retake Seleucar from the nefarious usurper, Castomira Brangwin. In the final battle against her greatest nemesis, Catarin used the blade to cut off Castomira's head.
