Its founders, led by Nicator, established the city after journeying south through the Vashnar Mountains, where it was situated beside the Mnemosyne River within the Atrousian Jungle near the sea. Beginning as a fledgling band of farmers and skilled artisans sick of the wars, the settlement led by Nicator flourished by the grace of Sarapis, its armies strategically striking against the major political powers of continent. Rising to prominence over years, Imperial Seleucar united the disparate factions of Humanity against the Tsol'teth Black Wave in a legendary victory which sealed its place in the history books. At its height, the empire commanded the fealties of the kingdoms of Ashtan, Shallam and scores of local duchies and provices before the march of centuries saw its eventual fall into corruption and decadence.
