Elsa Strauss is a cheerful little girl who lives with her grandparents, Ernest and Olga Strauss, in the village of Bagwar's Copse.
Elsa's cheerful life was shaken in 388 AF when the lesser dragon Yudhishthira snatched her up from the Copse, returning to Polyargos with the intent of making a snack out of her. Though rescued from the dragon's lair, Elsa was cruelly murdered upon her return to Sapience, which prompted a worldwide hunt for the murderer's head at the behest of Keresis, Goddess of Vengeance. At long last, Elsa made her way through the Halls of Sarapis and back home with her family.
