The wooded Dakhota Hills are located in central Sapience, close to the Savannah on the southern shore of the Pachacacha River. Within can be found the Vertani village of Tir Murann, a filthy goblin village, the ruins of an ancient castle overlying the dungeon of Azdun, and the Temple of Pandora. Numerous abandoned barrows and hollows litter these forested Vashnarian foothills, the most prominent feature of which is the towering Great Hill. Just north of Tir Murann is the entrance to Lake Dakhota, an area revealed in 806 A.F.

The valley landmark, which existed alternatively as the Radiant Valley or the Valley of the Shadow, was once located in the Dakhota Hills.
