Vastar, the Skylord, was one of the original created by Ayar. He took part in the Battle of Nishnatoba against the Triumvirate and is the spiritual father of the race that is His creation, the winged Atavians.

In the year 208 AF, Vastar awakened from a long slumber by activity in the sky unleashed during the explosion of both a great sun and Abaddon. Upon seeing the killing energies polluting His realm, Vastar drew the activity from the atmosphere and condensed it into a shimmering sphere of high above the contient. This ball of energy is now a comet that annually crosses paths with the planet upon which Sapience resides and all that remains of the Morning Star.

Vastar returned to slumber once more but more recently returned in the form of an Atavian wanderer.

Vastar is known as both enigmatic and supportive teaching His followers to pursue their goals in order to find their path to self-realisation. While Vastar is also known also for His impartial attitudes towards all beings in existence, his followers are consummately devoted to their goals and dreams.

One of Vastar's core tenets is Freedom and his definition of it transcends that of morals. Dwelling upon the Eternal Wind, the Endless Sky, and the Levin of Thunder, the Skylord embraces scholars, craftswomen and -men as well as warriors with the same empathy, giving His Disciples free space to develop themselves as they wish.

The Divine Symbols of Vastar include a stylised whirlwind of silver on a field of white, a sapphire falcon with extended wings, and a glowing spiral of silver on a cerulean background.

The only Atavian group that does not follow his patronage are those of the village of Genji.
