A city is a political and military organisation. Wars have been known to erupt between the cities on the continent of Sapience.

Sapience's first two cities were Ashtan and Shallam. The third eldest city to be built was Hashan, followed by Cyrene, Mhaldor, then Eleusis. The option to formally become a citizen was offered to adventurers in the year 193 AF.
