Hippo

Hippos also known as hippopotamuses are hulking, semiaquatic mammals which occupy the waterways of Sapience. Commonly of grey colouration, they are mud-loving and appear extremely fat. Despite this, they have dangerously large canines and can be very territorial. One hippo is a common sight in the river of Dun Valley but one can also be found beneath the canopies of the Lupine Hunting Grounds. Although hippos are usually large creatures, a subrace of pygmy hippos are sometimes available as minipets.

Hippos' tendency to flip and toss adventurers with their massive jaws is endowed within the Hippo card of the Achaean Deck of Legends.
