Jeramun, the Flame of the World is a powerful fire elemental from the Elemental Plane of Fire. After summoning him, the Aldar Dekalb created for him a great encasement of armour, both to protect the elemental fire and to protect the surrounding world from the immense heat emanating from his form. He also created a great sword for the elemental, but for what purpose we do not know. Perhaps he had foresight of the war to come, or perhaps he merely wanted his primitive companion to be protected.

When Dekalb was slain during the War of Humanity, Jeramun took refuge in a deep rent in the earth, for he could not abide the open air upon its surface. Despite his protective encasement, Jeramun radiated great waves of heat, and slowly his presence began to affect the very caverns around him, and the cold tundra far to the north was transformed into a sweltering, barren land, later named the Vents of Hthrak.

In the year 757 AF, rumblings across the various elemental planes caused stirings with Jeramun. In a test by Yudhishthira with one of the cities tanks, caused great destruction across the cities causing both Jeraman to melt his armour and exclaim to the whole of Sapience that he had awakened and for the oceans to consume ships upon the sea.

In the year 759 AF after Maklak destroyed the Elemental Embassy, the elemental conduits raged war upon the Dardanic Planes. With the conduits of Air, Water, and Earth restored Fire was the last one. In an effort to restore the conduit, the city of Hashan tried to do a ritual binding the conduit back to where it came. As preparations were being done a solider of the Elemental Plane of Fire brought down the amphora full of the elemental cores that were collected as the last piece of the ritual. Calling upon the Wellspring beneath Hashan, they infused the amphora with its power and then called upon dragons to carry it back north before it was destroyed. Enraged and called by is power Jeramun travelled to the source back to the frigid north. Lying in wait were a group of adventurers, and wave after wave threw themselves at the conduit in batte trying to diminish some of his power in order to restore it. After Jeramun was sufficiently weaked the amphora was then used to restore the conduit to the Elemental Plane thus binding him beneath the Vents.
