Ezekial, the Scholar, is the tutor of the Occultists House. An occultist of ancient times, he replaced Lord Luxsyth as tutor when the Occultists turned from Necromancy to Occultism.

During the Burning Times, Ezekial was responsible for the gathering together of Ashtani and Theran cabals in their attempt to perform Dion de Vermiis' famed Eschaton Experiment, in hopes of combating the increased persecution and outright slaughter of occultic practitioners by the Church. When the experiment failed, both Ezekial and all the karma now bound to the ritual were lost. It was during this time that Luxsyth enlisted a great number of occultists to aid him and his mother, Belladona, in furthering their studies with Necromancy. Though a small sect of occultists, dubbed the Keepers of the Fountainhead, remained loyal to Ezekial and awaited his return, they were quickly exterminated by Luxsyth, effectively wiping all knowledge of Occultism off the face of Sapience for a time.

Eventually, with the help of Eris, the modern-day Occultists were able to enact a ceremony that retrieved Ezekial and his unfinished Eschaton from the timestream. With the experiment completed, the Occultists embraced their roots in Occultism once again, banished Luxsyth from Ashtan, and restored Ezekial to a seat of prominence.

Considered one of the biggest contributors behind the advancement of Occultist works, Ezekial now has the pleasure of seeing the Eschaton stand as a testament to the success of his greatest ambition.
