The Mines of Iskadar are located on the continent of Meropis, the entrance hidden behind the Sypathean Falls in the Northern Vasnari Mountains. Somewhat prone to earthquakes, the caves are home to a number of extremely xenophobic dwarves from the Blackfire and Bloodstone clans, who speak only Dwarven. Deep within the rock-strewn tunnels, the Dwarven priests of Iskadar have made their quarters where they maintain a lavish chapel. Signs of cannibalism are everywhere in the mines, sickness and cave-ins are common, though each clan claims to maintain strict faith in the Dwarffather.
Denizens
The Bloodstone clan operates from the northeastern mines. Their desire to take over the silver mine has put them at odds with their rivals, the sickly members of the Blackfire clan. Clan members include:

- Thraken, the Bloodstone shaman
- Bloodstained and blood-soaked miners
The Blackfire clan settles in the southwestern tunnels. Something they encountered in the mines afflicted them with an unknown illness that put them at odds with their rivals, the Bloodstone clan. Clan members include:
- Brok, the Blackfire shaman
- Bartok Stonefist, Leader of the Blackfire clan
- Grelda Stonefist
- Dirt-encrusted miners
- Adolescent miners
The Dwarven priests of Iskadar maintain a chapel near the middle of the mines. They wield icons and are often found contemplating their next blood ritual. The clergy includes:
- High Priest Asdath
- Priests and acolytes
Flora and Fauna
Mineral leeches live amongst the caves, running their tongues along vines of ore to extract mineral nutrition. Minerals such as white quartz, purple amethyst, yellow citrines, pink quartz, and red tourmalines abound, as well as the standard gold, silver, and coal ores. Phosphorescent mosses grow between cracks in the rubble, though bloodroot is not found in the constructed underground tunnels.
