Player Killing, also called PK, refers to combat between adventurers. In Achaea, player killing is restricted by rules.

  • Free PK is a term that generally applies to worldwide events such as games or special acitivites or some geographical areas. During this state, no one gains or uses up cause and nothing is changed as the result of death.
  • Open PK refers most often to infamous adventurers, such as thieves or marks, but may apply in other situations, also. Those who walk in this state may be attacked and killed, but may not issue against their attackers.
  • Full PK typically references a geographical location, such as the fairy plane of Annwyn. These areas are thought of as an Open PK zone as anyone may be attacked at any time for any reason. Cause may still be gained or used, but issues are not an option.
