The Vertani Overlord Estan was first seen on Sapience in Aeguary 380 at the inaugural Game of the Eyes, introduced to the land by the diplomat Hingar. He introduced himself as master of the Sorathia region of Vertan, from which the first portal into the Dardanic Grasslands hailed. During his time as Overlord he survived a number of attacks from Achaeans, consequently directing the construction of several defensive fortresses throughout the lands.

He was slain during the hostilities that followed his declaration of El'Jazira and Tasur'ke to be within the province of the Vertani Empire. He was succeeded by Drafaris.
