Small, prismatic, and diamond-shaped, the Ekanelian Jewel is designed to dangle between the wearer's eyes. The silver chain from which the jewel hangs is as thin as a thread of silk and long enough to rest around the crown of any head. A rune-adorned clasp is set on one end of the chain; a number of loops to which the clasp can attach decorate the other end.

Named after Ekanel, an ancestor of modern-day Serpents, the Ekanelian Jewel serves as a focal point for those requiring additional focus in the cancellation and creation of wormholes; that is, when worn, it reduces the time it takes a wormhole to be spliced or destroyed. It is an artefact sold at Merentesh's shop in Delos.
