Ahmose, a Horkval armarian, works in a scriptorium atop the Prosperian Athenaeum in Cyrene's Lyceum. He is responsible for overseeing the work of the scribes and illuminators, as well as ensuring that they are well-supplied with parchment and writing materials.

Of wisened countenance, Ahmose is accentuated by an aura of acute perception and alertness. His frame is encased in a red ochre carapace, and slate grey hair hangs down from the bald crown of his head. Twitching, paired antennae protrude from his receding hairline, and his eyes are bright, shining pools of purest black. His attensive visage is magnified by the monocle that rests in the deep creases of his face. He wears a cowled cloak of cerulean blue and a pouch brimming with innumerable quills of various sizes and colours.
