Founded in 288 AF by Firefox, and formerly known as the Shaman guild, the Spirit Walkers are one of the houses residing in the city of Hashan, Crown of the Ithmia.

The Spirit Walkers act as an assembly of warriors and ritualists who who hold that the world is surrounded by and filled with invisible spiritual power that embraces all aspects of life. Standing as a bridge between all spirits and the world of mortals, they negotiate peaceful coexistence between them.

Abiding by the rule of "Three Upon Three Upon Three," the Spirit Walkers are ruled by a Prophet in the governing form of a dictatorship. No house leader may serve more than a twenty-seven year term. An Heir to the Prophet’s leadership is named at the cusp of their first decade as leader.

Upon the naming of each new Heir, the successor to the current Prophet or Prophetess, a celebration is held called the Festival of Spirits.

To walk between worlds is a complex and delicate undertaking, requiring absolute dedication. Oaths made to the Spirit Walkers house and its members supercede all others. Although the house itself is patroned by Lady Indrani, members of the house are free to follow the spiritual path and the residence of their choice. No matter the path, members of the Spirit Walkers understand and uphold their role as keepers of sacred knowledge, and honor the spiritual gifts they receive.

Their house tutor is Tithian, the Shaman; brother of the Instructor Phineus, Warden of knowledge, the house tutor of the Wardens of the Cerulean Spire.
