Boldarihm is the stronghold of clan Boulder Scorch, a bastion of knowledge and epicentre of dwarven magics. Concealed beneath the peaks of the southern Vashnars, it was not discovered by the wider modern world until near the end of the 9th century AF.

History

In 892 AF a series of explosions across central Sapience drew attention to the experiments of an academic dwarf studying Runelore. Adventurers escorted him back to his school of magic, the hidden clan halls of Boldarihm.

Culture

While it serves as home to dwarves of all professions and inclinations, the natural inclination for magic within its people has seen magic seep into every facet of life. For unknown reasons the enchanted halls lack a chieftain, being instead ruled by a council of Archmages which head the various departments.

Geography

Originally a single nexus of caverns and tunnels, centuries of seclusion have seen the dwarves through unique developments and expansion of the clan hall into places unknown. The Woven Tree dominates the natural studies branch, a place in the southwestern halls where white-robed healers study the disciplines of life and restoration. The northernwestern lobe contains the Boldarihm Conservatory, a worked stone complex of dwarven caretakers overseen by a curator and sheltering fantastic beasts for research within its endless indices. The northeastern sector is a wind-scoured place of steam and heat, where elemental keepers attend the engine of elemental science and ritual.

Boldarihm is unique in its place as the subterranean source of the Shuun'eludiela River.
