The orc Groukar is one of the many slaves of Mhaldor. However, because of his embracing of the Seven Truths, he has been acknowledged as one of the more superior of his rank and has authority over the other slaves.
Groukar played a pivotal role in the Jaru War where he helped build the dam that flooded the village, destroying the newly constructed walls. He is also responsible for the construction of the pillory at Pestilent Way. He has a strong but slightly dysfunctional friendship with Maric.
