Beast in the crypt

The Crypt Beast is an extremely fast and aggressive creature. It is rumoured that the beast lives in a lonely tomb in the graveyard in New Thera. It usually stays unnoticed within its eerie home until reckless adventurers enter the crypt in hopes of slaying it. Should the adventurer flee, the beast rampages across Sapience in pursuit of the unlucky victim attacking adventurers on sight. Older adventurers have bestowed upon it the rather unusual nickname of 'Bianca'.

It was believed that the crypt beast perished along with the villagers when Thera was destroyed by the Vertani. However, with the discovery of the Quisalis Mark inhabited caves under the village, that myth has been laid to rest.
