The Lucretian Athenaeum, the largest public library in Sapience, opened in Mayan, 396AF. The library is located in New Thera and manned by Nissa, the Head Archivist; Maejin, the Archivist Apprentice; Lara, the Keeper of the Scrolls; and Mydoin, the bookseller.
In 446AF Nissa announced the opening of newly expanded Athenaeum, and that the great library had begun accepting submissions from adventurers for inclusion into its holdings. Bards and scholars alike may submit their works to be reviewed by the librarians of the Athenaeum.
The Athenaeum also hosts the Tower of the Chroniclers of Lore.
