The nameless waterlogged humgii of Targossas rests on his dripping haunches at the city's harbour, watching the sea. Formerly claiming its own spot on Zanzibaar Street in Shallam, the poor dog-like creature followed refugees into the wilderness after the watery destruction of Jewel of the East. The former Shallamese were astonished to find their former humgii crawling out of the bay of New Hope, and took him with them when Targossas was built some years later.
