Mechanical box

A mechanical box is like a miniature slot machine in a hand-held box form which awards talisman pieces. Spinning the dial causes it to emit a whirring sound, one out of three slots spinning very quickly. The slots spin one at a time. If one matches all three symbols you'll earn a talisman piece from the associated set (Wonders, Death, or Blackwave) when the box disappears. Matching only two symbols yields a quarter box, four of which may be fused to create another mechanical box. Three disparate symbols yields only a consolation prize, usually gold sovereigns or herbs. Occasionally mechanical boxes are available for purchase and selling for 25 credits in Delos and sometimes can be won through other means.
