The tunnels are studded with forests of phantom quartz which glitter eerily in the dimness while giant anglerfish lurk in the depths of the underground lake. | |||

The trolls of Riagath are descended from refugees of [[Kasmarkin]]. Their ancestors crossed many miles in search of a new home after the doom of the ancient troll city. Crossing the mountains of [[Anake's Elbow]], the trolls ran into ancestors of the [[Tsol'dasi]] in the jungles on the other side, a conflict which eventually escalated into full scale war and decimation of the trollkin. Retreating into the mountains, four troll families survived and adapted, establishing a rude sanctuary within the watery tunnels which they have called home for centuries since. | |||

The trolls of Riagath refer to [[adventurers]] as "southlanders" or "dryskins", a designation which speaks more about them than their guests.
