Marisol, Guardian of the Sun, was the form taken by a fragment of the essence of Lady Mithraea, Goddess of the Sun. Acting on a portent, the Lady Sol had willingly parted with this portion of Her Divine essence prior to being imprisoned by Prince Slith. That essence coalesced into the child Marisol who was hidden as a safeguard on the Isle of New Hope under the protection of the Abbess.
