Kavaya is an instructor of blademasters and a descendant of legendary warrior Lucaine Pyramides. Her homeland is the distant country of Kashar, where her people, the Hatha-yin, are slaves. She was formerly a handmaiden of the Kashari princess Megara. Following the Kashari raids upon Sapience and the neighboring islands, Kavaya was instrumental in securing the freedom of Haidar, the Lion. He, in turn, was the catalyst for the reawakening of the lost Two Arts in Kavaya.
