The Chaos Taint is a rare phenomenon in the Achaean world which occurs when normal levels of Chaotic activity in the world surge suddenly and uncontrollably. The fabric of the world ripples and warps, sometimes leading to unexpected disturbances and suspension of physical laws. History has seen this come to pass a few times including antiquity and during the Reborn Sun saga.
