Caliphan, the Scribe Master, once ran the post office in Shallam where letters were delivered via beautiful paradise birds. After the destruction of the Jewel of the East he moved into an empty chamber in the Targossian Heart of Dawn, using it as a small scriptorium alongside Cenys, the former basilican scribe.
