Amber Chalice

The Amber Chalice is the House Icon of the Empyreal Assembly. It takes the shape of a ritual chalice carved from a single, enormous piece of amber, placed on top of a plain, uncarved block of dove-grey stone. The basin of the chalice is filled with a cool, pale mist that spills over the brim, imparting a sense of calm and well-being to those that come into contact with it. Pictograms depicting the five elemental channels - air, fire, water, earth and spirit - have been incised upon the chalice's outer surface, and punctuated with bright gemstones.

Like all true icons, it resides on the desolate plane of Nishnatoba. The Chalice was destroyed during the Icon Wars between Shallam and Mhaldor, a prolonged engagement that lead to the destruction of all of the Icons of the Great Houses of Shallam. It was raised again in recent years.
