Gauntlet

Originating on lost Greathorn, the Gauntlet is the domed arena of Targossas. With such creative innovations as a catapult station and trap doors, its atypical layout can surprise combatants and allow use of unusual strategem in battle. Its areas include the sand-floored stadium, the stands, the forest, and the storage pens. The arena opened in 629 AF, just before the first Festival of Dawn which commemorated the founding of the city and kicked off with championship tourney within the arena's shifting walls. Its current location is along the southernwestern walls on Western Darius Avenue, similar to that of the former Maran La'Saen Memorial Arena.
