Festival of Dawn

The Festival of Dawn is a semi-vicennial local celebration which commemorates the founding of Targossas. First observed Daedalan of 630 AF, it draws inspiration from the antediluvian Festival of Light tradition of Shallam, though its games, tourneys, and particular religious dedication to the Bloodsworn Gods is a novel development. The year-long festival traditionally begins with the lighting of the bonfire and culminates in the Championship of Daybreak. The Daybreak Championship is the crown jewel of the festival, offering challenge and rich reward to the greatest duelists of the city. The first Daybreak Exemplar, or champion of this tournament, was Terra.
