The Planetarium of the Crown is a large structure that was originally designed as a gift to Hashan by Tavarius, who was Slith in disguise. It would play a pivotal role leading up to the events of the Eternal Night.

While at first Tavarius' project was met with approval by the city leadership, he would later be found advancing his plans without council approval. Focusing on the north walls of Gaear Street, Tavarius' labourers would quickly begin their demolitions and constructions. Following its completion, the Disc of the Nocturne would suddenly be moved to the top of the planetarium's tower and utilized to enact the disastrous events of the Eternal Night saga.

For many years following the Eternal Night, the Gaear Street landmark was closed to the public and the planetarium fell into disarray. A secret make-shift tunnel was constructed from the Northern Ithmia that allowed interested parties to explore the now abandoned structure. Following the reintroduction of Alchemy by the Cauda Pavonis, as well as a revitalised interest in the study of Astronomy, the city of Hashan began a project to renovate and refurbish the planetarium. Roughly in the year 580 AF, the city officially re-opened the planetarium and boarded up the secret entrance. The renovated planetarium was officially hailed as the most advanced observatory in Achaea.

The newly opened planetarium was visited by the Rubedan Master of the Cauda Pavonis, and he asked if the facility's advanced tools could be used to find a celestial body aligned with the alchemical energies of copper. After some time, Inc Anemides-Sly was successful and discovered a nebula aligned with these energies, dubbing it the Nebula Coronae.

Roughly in the year 834 AF, a large earthquake struck the city of Hashan and caused structural damage to the planetarium. Though the damage was minimal, and repairs were quickly administered to return the facility to working order, the Disc of the Nocturne was lost during the natural disaster.

Within the planetarium, several exhibits are housed including an orrery, a telescope, an overhead galaxy, and many more items and relics of astronomical significance.
