The isle of Zanzibaar is the namesake of Zanzibaar Street in Shallam. In ancient times, this far-off island was quite famous, but for most of the Modern Age, its spices and other exotic wares were not enough to hold it in Sapience's collective eye, and so it fell into relative obscurity. With the introduction of ships, however, it became reachable, historically elusive no more.
