The Weapons Gallery is a Delosian shop stocked to the ceiling with the accoutrements of war. It is maintained by Merentesh. From swords to halberds, warhammers to splintmail, its wares are standard issue for the everyday warrior.
Wares
- broadsword - 2500gp
- Possessing a slightly broader and shorter blade than a longsword, this instrument of war is functional and beautiful. The Theran workmanship is of finest quality. The seal of the Theran blacksmiths is etched very slightly into the blade, and no doubt stands out brightly when the blade is blooded.
- longsword - 2500gp
- Crafted simply, with rigid right-angles at the hilt, this longsword possesses fine workmanship. It has a split-leather grip ending in a slight pommel, and the crossbar is covered with some simple, engraved patterns.
- wooden club 100gp
- Carved out of a single piece of wood, this wooden club is of the crudest make.
- suit of ring mail - 2200gp
- The armour is like a less effective and lighter version of chain mail. It consists of leather with rings of metal sewn onto it. The leather underneath is flexible enough to allow a good range of movement.
- suit of scale mail - 3000gp
- This suit of armour is a combination of leather and overlapping pieces of steel. The effect is reminiscent of the scales of a fish.
- suit of steel chain mail - 4500gp
- This hefty piece of armour is a full suit of interlocking metal rings, with quilted padding underneath to cushion the blows. Several layers of the rings cover certain parts of the body, like the head, the chest, and the groin.
- obsidian dagger - 100gp
- Chipped out of a single piece of blackest obsidian, this dagger has an edge fine enough to split a hair. The lack of a crosspiece tells you that it is primarily designed to be thrown.
- suit of splint mail - 6000gp
- This suit of armour consists of narrow, vertical strips of metal riveted onto a leather backing. On the other side of the leather is quilted padding. The joints of the armour are made of chainmail, as the vertical strips of metal are not flexible.
- suit of polished field plate armour - 10000gp
- This bulky, heavy suit of armour consists of shaped and fitted, interlocking metal plates that have been riveted together. Covering the entire body, it includes gauntlets, boots, and a visored helmet. Underlying the armour is a thick layer of quilted padding.
- Delosian bastard sword - 3000gp
- This two-handed weapon is similar to a longsword in shape and size, but has a longer hilt, and perhaps a slightly heavier blade. Many are the opponents who have trembled upon seeing one of the Delosian Rangers bearing down upon them with one of their signature bastard swords.
- needle-pointed dirk - 1000gp
- The dirk is long and needle-pointed, and is meant for stabbing. It has a crosspiece and a large ball at the end of the hilt, to ensure easier removal of itself from a victim's body.
- blackened warhammer - 2000gp
- A warhammer forged with blackened steel and black walnut for the handle. The workmanship is good, though unfamiliar.
- rapier - 2000gp
- Slim, light, and well-balanced, with a beautifully ornate hilt, this rapier looks to be fit for a true artist of swordplay.
- hunter's spear - 800gp
- A simple weapon that is easily learned by almost anyone, the spear has a long wooden handle tipped with a steel point.
- gladiator's trident - 1500gp
- A haft of hard oak provides the handle for this weapon, while the three-pronged business end appears to be made of steel.
- dwarven battleaxe - 2000gp
- Possessing a medium-length wooden hilt topped by a pair of deadly-looking axeblades, this weapon is the favourite of many dwarves. Carved into one of the blades is the traditional symbol of many dwarves, the Hammer of Phaestus.
- throwing axe - 200gp
- Unremarkable, and not of particularly careful construction, this axe is meant to be thrown and forgotten.
- beautiful practice rapier - 500gp
- This is a beautiful weapon: long, narrow blade; simple but highly polished guard; and stylish decorations on the pommel. This is a blade that emphasises beauty above all else and succeeds admirably in that emphasis, sacrificing speed, damage, and accuracy. In other words, it is the perfect practice weapon.
- wooden practice lance - 500gp
- Long and wooden, with a heavy steel tip, and a steel cone towards the end of the haft to prevent ones hand from sliding up the lance upon impact, this weapon is meant to be wielded primarily from horseback.
