Battle of Jaru

The Battle of Jaru was actually a series of battles which occured in the 360s AF: a back and forth struggle between Mhaldor, which wished to kill Jaruvian villagers for sport, and the Shallamese who rose to defend them. The village was partially flooded during this conflict, its farmland sodden and ruined for years. Although they encountered issues of defense, sovereignty, and self-governance in their negotiations, the Jaru-Shallam alliance managed to win the day, cementing the friendly relationship between Jaru and the Jewel of the East. The western gate of Jaru, which was strengthened with diamond-reinforced hinges to stand against Mhaldorian chemical attack, was constructed during this time.
