Penguin
Penguins are aquatic, flightless birds which inhabit sub-temperate coastal regions. Their featherless wings, suited for steering through water rather than air, make them efficient swimmers and divers. Colonies of penguins can be found near Tundra around the polar village of Kamleikan, while the sapphire-plumed variant can be seen waddling along the coast of the Sapphire Sea on the Ishana Peninsula.
The Carnivalis Institute of Jestering reveres penguins, going so far as to name their initiates after them, though they have been known to eat the birds on occasion as well.
