Ralem was a Vertani priest who travelled from his home world to teach Achaeans the Vertani language. Taking up residence in the temple of the Logos in Saoghal Valley, he granted knowledge of his language to all visitors. In Miraman of 380, Ralem and his companions were attacked and nearly all slain; Ralem was able to escape through the portal to his homeland, and was not seen again.
