Meld

The Tsol'teth Meld is a collective psychophysiological connection used by Tsol'teth to link the minds of its drones and commanders across great distances in a kind of superlative racial telepathy. In the teachings of Tenith'oru, a meld is not regarded as simple telepathic communication, but a "oneness, an innate and utter comprehension between those who share the bond". Although the Tsol'teth admit it bears passing similarity to adventurer channel communications of the Sapient organisations, the Meld is theoretically capable of allowing transmission and distribution of genetic memory, experiences, thoughts, emotions, and will of many individuals, provided suitable anchors against the volatility of rebel thought. Most importantly, the Meld imparts a resilient stability against the insanity which cursed the early Tsol'teth. The Meld link is demonstrably strongest between Tsol'teth of close blood, their anchors ensuring effectiveness of Teth groups such as the Mainline Five and the Numbers of Six. For Achaean overlanders, much mystery surrounds the figure of Ama-maalier and her function as the Fulcrum of the Meld.
