Thyrsus

The Thyrsus is a staff of pine topped with a large pinecone. Slightly taller than a mortal it is rough to the touch with tiny branches sprouting tiny needles near its top. It is rumoured that this sacred staff was given to the Lady Demeter near to the dawn of creation, by a hamadryad of the Northreach Forest during her time as a Celani. With this staff, the Lady discovered the secrets of honey, and created the first mead upon the face of Achaea.
