Anake was one of the seven Offspring of Sinope and Callisto. He murdered his mother after she spurned his amorous advances and was banished from Ceylon by his angry siblings. Out of these remaining siblings only Lysithea supported him, for they had always been close, and she went with him into exile and later became his mate.
64 years after his banishment, Anake was murdered by his now mad father who was in turn killed by his grandchildren Rukal and Lakspura.
