Krakens are giant squid with powerful tentacles that roves the continental shelf overlooking the undersea city of Riparium. Makiradekha, as one is named, is often summoned by the merfolk to protect the city from land-walking invaders. These deadly beasts are known to roam the deep waters of the Eastern Ocean, and have even been sighted off the shores of Tasur'ke, on occasion.
