The art of Spirituality Priests to summon both guardian angels for protection and spiritual maces with which to smite Evil. As a Priest's skill within Spirituality grows, so too will the devastating impact of his or her mace in combat. The Priest's guardian angel will similarly grow in strength and gain increased abilities to aid her charge.
Users of Spirituality may choose to purchase one of three artefact maces from Merentesh's shop in Delos. These maces, listed in order of ascending statistics, are the Odyssean, Raphaelan, and Auroran Maces.
Abilities in Spirituality
Ability | Description |
Summon | Summon your angel to your side. |
ANGEL SUMMON will call your angel to your side. When your angel has not been summoned, she will be resting invisible, though always near you. ANGEL FADE will cause your angel to fade back into obscurity. | |
Touch | Assess the power of your angel. |
Using this ability, you will be able to assess the current power of your Angel. When she runs out of power, she will be forced to disappear and regain power. | |
Mace | Summon a spiritual mace to aid you. |
Using your inherent link to the spirit world, you may summon a spiritual mace, with which to smite down your enemies. Note that your spiritual mace can be used with the targeting abilities in weaponry. | |
Shine' | Cause your guardian angel to radiate light. |
Upon doing this, your Angel will begin radiating light, the better to avoid fumbling about in the darkness. If you direct this ability at an adventurer, it will blind that adventurer. | |
Call | Call your mace to you when you have lost it. |
Through sheer willpower, you will be able to summon your mace to you if you have lost it. | |
Aura | Shield yourself with an aura of protection. |
This ability will cause your angel to raise a magical shield (like the tattoo), of whomever you choose. If you do not specify anyone, then it will raise a shield around you. | |
Panic | Ask your angel to cause terror in a chosen victim. |
With this ability, you may command your angel to strike fear into the heart of another adventurer. - | |
Fortify | Boost your angel's power with your own health.. |
Using this ability, you may replenish your angel's power at a cost of some of your health. | |
Watch | Have your angel keep watch on your enemies. |
When you turn on this ability, your angel will begin reporting on the movements of your enemies when they are near to you. | |
Smash | Deal a crushing blow to one of your opponent's limbs. |
This ability will allow you to crush one of your opponents arms or legs with your mace, rendering it useless. | |
Rest | Causes your angel to conserve her power. |
Many abilities that you may use with your Angel will cause a regular drain on her power. This ability will cause your Angel to cease doing these things and rest. | |
Drain | Gain health from your angel. |
Your Angel stands ready to sacrifice even her very essence for your benefit. This ability will replenish some of your health at a cost to her. | |
Heresy | Summon rage at the heretics and hunt them with fervour. |
Engulf your mace in righteous flame, burning away the aura of rebounding from your foes. This is a costly ability, however, and is of limited duration. | |
Seek | Have your angel report on another person. |
This ability will cause your angel to report on the whereabouts of the selected adventurer, his or her health and mana levels, and who is with him or her. | |
Mindread | Your angel reports to you on local conversations. |
This ability will cause your angel to report to you any tells that adventurers in the room with you receive. | |
Push | Make the unbelievers kneel. |
Have your angel throw a heretic to the ground. | |
Beckon | Draws in people from adjacent locations. |
This ability will cause your angel to draw all those in adjacent locations to your location. If you target a specific adventurer (who must be in an adjacent location), then it will draw only that adventurer in. If the adventurer(s) being drawn in can't move normally, then angel beckon will do nothing. | |
Sear | Order your angel to sear an unlucky adventurer. |
With this ability, you may command your guardian angel to sear an adventurer with intense heat, causing him to burst into flames. Alternatively, your angel can melt an icewall. | |
Judgement | Pass a sentence of death upon the evil. |
With your spiritual mace, you may judge that an adventurer has committed a crime punishable by death, and attempt to deal out your sentence. This ability takes some time to work. | |
Strip | Order your angel to strip a defence from a heretic. |
With this ability, you may order your angel to strip a defence from an adventurer. It will work through a magical shield. | |
Ripples | Your angel watches for chaos ripples |
With this ability, you will be able to see a list of all chaos entities currently on the Prime Material Plane. | |
Ward | Cause fear in most chaos entities |
Ward will cause all Chaos Entities in the room to have to fight to maintain their composure. If they fail, they will flee in fear. | |
Chasten | Deal a mind-numbing blow to the enemy |
The successful believer requires many methods to discourage the chaotic natures of many of Achaea's inhabitants. Chasten will allow you to disrupt an adventurer's mental or physical processes. | |
Presences | Searches out all in the local area. |
Using this ability, you will be able to gain information on the status of the other people in the same area as you. | |
Trace | Destroy all plant life in a location. |
With trace, your angel will report on each movement of adventurer, within the same continent. | |
Sap | Order your angel to sap the mental strength of an enemy. |
This ability will cause your angel to drain the mana of your opponent. | |
Care | Have your angel care for your physical well-being |
This ability will cause your Angel to regularly heal your afflictions at a significant cost of power to her. | |
Spiritwrack | Your angel will torture the spirit of your enemies. |
This ability will set your angel attacking the spirit of your target, giving him various afflictions on a constant basis. ANGEL SPIRITWRACK OFF will turn it off. Note that this drains angel power while on. If your target also stands in a room where the hands grasp at the living, this travel is instantaneous. If the hands are not present, the target is required to be a practitioner of necromancy, and the travel will be delayed. | |
Refuge | Have your angel transport you to a place of safety. |
Using this ability, you may order your Angel to take you to Nirvana. | |
Empathy | Have your angel heal you regularly. |
With this ability, your Angel will regularly heal you if you are damaged. | |
Power | Increase your angel's power through use of mana. |
Using the mental bond between you and your angel, you can devote some of your own mental energy to restore your spiritual companion's strength. | |
Contemplate | Perceive the state of another's mental strength. |
With this ability, you may see how much mana an adventurer has. | |
Sacrifice | Full restoration of self at great cost to your angel. |
Though it will cost her greatly, your Angel will make the massive sacrifice required to restore you fully in both mind and body. | |
Absolve | Command your angel to tear the soul from your enemy. |
Using this most powerful of Angelic abilities, your Angel will rip the very soul from your enemy. Be warned though, your enemy must be on less than half of his maximum mana. |
