However, blood is no longer used to sanctify or defile shrines, as corpses can now be utilised directly. Buckets were once also frequently used to pour blood over the falls landmark every Sarapin, in the Necromancy and Devotion users' efforts to affect its alignment in producing life essence or devotion for them, respectively.
